Smart Meter Dangers – Is YOUR family safe?

What are Smart Meters? How are they dangerous?

With the use of personal, consumer electronic RF transmitters on the rise, AaroniaUSA’s team of application specialists receives more and more calls each day from customers wondering how they can protect themselves from these rampant EMI and RF transmissions. One of the most common complaints, however, is the Smart Meter. Smart Meters are RF transmitters that utility companies use to digitally transmit meter readings directly to their computers without a technician manually reading utility meters on your property. They run 24/7, and although they do not transmit 24 hours a day, most do transmit data at least once daily. Smart Meters have grown in popularity over the past several years, and are now used by utility companies in several states.

As popular as they may be amongst utility companies, smart meters are controversial amongst consumers, and are often considered dangerous or hazardous to health and safety by people who are sensitive to RF and EMI transmissions. Negative health impacts reported include high pitched ringing sounds, headaches, insomnia, and fatigue. Read more about RF Exposure’s negative impact from OSHA.

Smart Meters have also been tied to conspiracy theories and public controversy, including fear of illegal spying via RF transmission. Understandably, many consumers have requested to opt out from smart meter installation by their utility companies; few have been granted that request. Though it is illegal to block transmissions from the meters to the utility companies, it is not illegal to block the transmissions from penetrating your home and potentially harming your or your family. AaroniaUSA is proud to offer several products that are capable of doing so, at low cost to you.

How do I protect myself from Smart Meter transmissions?

For protecting your home from smart meter and other RF and EMI radiation, our team of application specialists first recommends applying window screens and/or curtains, and then wall protection. Both RF and EMF are capable of penetrating standard home construction materials including double paned glass windows and even brick or masonry home siding.

The ideal products for window screen include our Mesh screening material – a stiff, transparent, breathable material comprised entirely of stainless steel. Easy to cut for custom sizing and very similar in texture and nature to a heavy duty window screen, Mesh would make an excellent addition to your homes’ windows, or even a wall screen for a porch or outdoor living space. Accompanied by curtains made out of our breathable Shield (sheer) or X-Steel (opaque), your windows will be completely protected with over 100db of RF and EMF dampening.

Wall coverings are also available, including the X-Dream Plus, a thick and opaque shielding material with 100db dampening, with a self-adhesive peel-and-stick backing for easy application. Available in a slightly shimmery (due to woven metal fibers) silver-bronze color, the X-Dream would make an attractive accent wall to block smart meter transmissions, or it is easily painted (without damaging shielding capabilities) for full room coverage. Recommended application for new construction would be to adhere the X-Dream Plus in between the dry wall and insulation, for 100% coverage without interfering with your décor.
